Made on the Northern Beaches

The Northern Beaches has attracted a wealth of creative people who have set up small shops and craft businesses to showcase their amazing wares. This provides locals with a constant array of gorgeous handmade items that are unique and unlike the mass-produced products that are readily available around the country.

If you’re looking for a special gift or want to adorn your home with some truly special items, check out these interesting and innovative businesses that sell handmade products.

They also have beautiful cushions, stylish lounges, ottomans, and valances. While not all Mayvn products are made on the Northern Beaches, many of their fabrics and furnishings are designed here.

Piega

‘Dressing windows with style’ is the motto that Piega uses to describe their business at 43 Golf Parade, Manly. Alison Walker is the director and her aim is to help her clients to design indoor spaces that reflect their personality and creativity.

Here you can find a range of beautiful window furnishings such as curtains, roller blinds, roman blinds, and shutters. In addition, you can also get soft furnishings such as cushions and bed heads in matching fabrics.

Palm Art Boutique

For something a little different, check out Palm Art Boutique in Old Samuel Street, Mona Vale. This resourceful business creates a range of rustic home décor items using palm fronds and inflorescences.

Each item is lovingly handmade and unique. What a great way to reuse a waste product that would otherwise end up at the tip.

The Screenery

Another environmentally conscious business on the Northern Beaches, The Screenery is located in Elanora Heights. They use locally produced environmentally friendly inks and screen print onto sustainable materials to make linen tea towels, napkins, and cushion covers.

As well as their base range of gorgeous hand printed homewares, they also offer a custom design service.

As you can see, there’s a lot of creative talent on the Northern Beaches. This means that you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to finding unique and beautifully crafted pieces to decorate your home with.
