Who is delivering or offering pick up on the Northern Beaches during COVID-19?

The COVID-19 outbreak has seen many of the Northern Beaches’ favourite bars, stores and restaurants shutting their doors. At JDH Real Estate we are very much looking forward to seeing things return to normal soon.

However, despite the closures, many businesses have managed to find ways to keep serving their customers. Take a look at how a few of your local Northern Beaches favourites are operating during COVID-19.

Cafes and restaurants

You can always look up your favourite restaurants on Google or Facebook to see how they are operating during COVID-19 but here are updates from some of the venues we frequent:

Mr Grigor’s

Mr Grigor’s in Allambie Heights is open for take away and pick up orders, offering their usual “deliciousness” and extending their thanks to the local community for their support and well wishes.

Keep an eye on their Facebook page when they announce a ‘Friday Night Feast’. With a different takeaway meal theme each week, it’s worth getting excited about.

Call 𝟵𝟰𝟱𝟭 𝟰𝟵𝟴𝟲 to order, or visit their website for the COVID menu and other updates.

La Crema Lounge

Also in Allambie Heights, the award-winning team at La Crema Lounge is now offering “fresh iso dinners”, serving made to order, homemade takeaway meals.

Direct Message, text or call La Crema on 0477 160 328 before 2pm the day before to support this local business and enjoy some delicious home made food.

Visit their website www.lacrema.com.au

Imbue Cafe

Imbue Cafe in Davidson shares that “With so many local residents advised to self-isolate, collecting takeaways presents a problem. A solution for Imbue to overcome this problem is to offer a delivery service to enable food to be delivered to those who are advised to self-isolate AND are over 70. Delivery will be provided for weekday lunch and dinner free of charge for now. If your parents or you know someone will need it, please share this with them.”

To order from Imbue, call between 9:30-10:30 for 12 o’clock lunch delivery. Dinner orders must be placed before 3:30pm.

Call 02 9451 0244 or text 0433 699 713. You will receive a confirmation message from the team at Imbue Cafe

Pubs and bottle shops

While we await the reopening of our favourite local haunts, some venues have found a way to pivot and continue offering drinks and meals.

4Pines

4Pines is the Northern Beaches’ home-grown craft beer. They have pulled out all stops during COVID-19, turning their bar staff into delivery drivers and dropping the prices on cases of beer.

In Brookvale, Manly and Newport, venues are still open for pick up food and beers so check your closest venue’s Facebook page for more details. You can drop by and pick up a case, a burger or both.

The collection of local brewpubs has also “unleashed a fleet of combis, utes and ford lasers piloted by bar staff, to deliver the freshest beers and tastiest burgers directly to you.” This includes a $25 burger + six pack combo.

Order home delivery from 4Pines via https://4pinesbeer.com.au/delivery/.

Local bottle shops

Check your local bottle shop to see their opening hours and delivery options. BWS and Dan Murphy’s are two operators which offer delivery across the Northern Beaches.

Warringah Mall

While many stores are closed at the mall, you can still shop online from a number of outlets and have your items home delivered.

There is also a contactless Click & Collect service operating as ‘Westfield Direct’. You can purchase items from multiple retailers and collect your order from the convenience of your car.

From takeaway food to daily necessities and extras, order online, select your pick-up time, and collect your order at Westfield’s designated drive-thru point near Sephora in the Blue Car Park on Level 3, with no booking or delivery fee applied.

Right now this only applies to around 25 retailers, including Bakers Delight, InBloom florist and Banana Blossom. Over the coming weeks and months, Westfield will be expanding the service to include other categories and retailers.

Supporting local business means supporting local jobs, so check out your favourite stores and restaurants in Allambie Heights, Frenchs Forest, Beacon Hill or Davidson and help these businesses keep their heads above water while we wait for restrictions to ease.
